Congratulations to Kevin Faulconer - San Diego's New Mayor
The Log Cabin Republicans of San Diego County would like to congratulate Kevin Faulconer becoming San Diego's next Mayor.
Faulconer, 47, told cheering supporters Tuesday night that he "can't wait to be the next mayor of this fabulous and great city." adding "This city has gone through a lot in the last year, but we knew that as San Diegans we were better than that."
Kevin Faulconer was endorsed by such GLBT activists as Bob Nelson (past president of The LGBT Center), Dwayne Crenshaw (past executive director San Diego LGBT Pride) Susan Jester (founder, San Diego AIDS Walk), Johnathan Hale, Kaiden Blue Montana (San Diego Gender Coalition), Joe Mariscal (GLLO Latino), and former Marine captain and Bronze Star recipient, Jacque Atkinson (co-chair Sheriff’s GLBT Advisory Board) to name but a few.
Susan Jester, President of Log Cabin Republicans, said "it will be a great thing for the [LGBT] community to have a Republican Mayor. A new generation Republican working for and advocating for our issues as well as the larger community."
